Bertha LaJeane “Jeanie” Fain
December 21, 1952 – December 22, 2017

Bertha LaJeane Fain passed from earthly life into the eternal on December 22, 2017 in San Antonio at the age of 65. She was born in Corsicana, Texas on December 21, 1952. Her parents were Clyde M. and Ernestine Speed of Fairfield, Corsicana and Houston. Jeanie is survived by her daughters, Amanda Fain of Fort Worth, Lindsey Fain of Humble, Melissa Labaj, and Meredith Young; seven grandchildren, Hannah, Hayden, Mason, Elizabeth, Samantha, Kevin and Courtney. She is also survived by her two sisters and brothers in law, Renee and Jerry Morris of San Antonio and Annette and Seth Lincoln of Humble, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Ernestine Speed.
Jeanie graduated from North Shore Senior High and took classes at San Jacinto College North. She worked at Channelview Bank and S & C Construction before her marriage in 1978 to Paul Fain. Jeanie loved being a wife and mother and making a home for her family, taking care of extended family as well.
She was a fabulous cook and shared that gift with many. She loved music of all types and dancing. She also loved to garden and her home was always surrounded by beautiful landscaping and flowers. Jeanie was a warm and wonderful person, sharing laughter and love with those around her. She resided in the
A Memorial Service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Boerne, Friday, January 5, 2017 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to FUMC Boerne, 205 James St, Boerne, TX 78006 or the American Diabetes Association.
