Obituary for Grove Stafford Brame

Grove Stafford Brame, age 59, lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. He was born and raised in Alexandria, Louisiana, a son of Frank Tebault Brame Jr. and Emily Stafford Brame McNeely.

Grove graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Accounting. After college Grove moved to Dallas and then Houston to work for Dr. Pepper Bottling Company, finishing out his career as their General Manager of the Southwest Business Unit.

Grove had 3 great loves in his life: his wife, Laura Gow Brame; his children; and golf. He and Laura were married September 2, 2006.They combined their families and enjoyed raising their children: Alexx Brame, Jack Brame, Scott Brame, Edward Neese, and Hillary Neese.

They moved to Cordillera Ranch in Boerne, Texas, to enjoy retirement and many years of golf. Grove loved playing golf with his brothers and friends and was a scratch golfer.

We will remember Grove as a true gentleman, loving father, husband, friend and a man of strong faith in Jesus Christ. He brightened any room with his empathy, kindness, sense of humor and optimism. Grove always found a way to have a meaningful conversation with each person at every gathering. He will be missed.

Grove is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Frank and Candy Brame, Patty Brame Scott, Richard and Nancy Brame, Kathleen and Tom Lemly, Emily and David Powell, and John and Atty Brame.
