Lucille Bentivegna McBriarty of Austin, Texas passed away from cancer on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at the age of 68. She was born in New York City to John James Waluk and Sophie Waluk. Lucille was preceded in death by her father, by husband Robert Bentivegna on February 2, 2000, and on December 6, 2007, by husband Mark McBriarty. She is survived by her mother Sophie Waluk, now living in Austin; brother Jimmy Waluk of Levittown, New York; children Robert Bentivegna of New Braunfels, James Bentivegna of Katy, and Janine Starr of Austin; as well as six grandchildren. Lucille was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2011, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 202 W. Kronkosky, Boerne, Texas 78006. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church in Boerne, or to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4622 South Lamar, Austin, Texas 78745.
