Glena Fay Poole Grisham
March 3, 1941 – January 26, 2018

Glena Fay Poole Grisham, age 76, of Boerne, Texas passed away on January 26, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Her strong will to live so that she could spend time with her beloved family, unwavering faith in God and his plan, the love and prayers of family and friends and her amazing doctors and nurses carried her through this battle that started in 2007.
She is preceded in death by her father, W.E. Poole; mother, Marcelle Heeth Poole Greer; step father Joe Greer; and brother Raymond Poole. Married for 56 years, she is survived by her best friend and husband, Freddie Joe Grisham. Everyone that knew them knows that they were inseparable whether it be fishing, sitting in a deer stand, watching a dance recital, or attending a basketball/volleyball game of their precious granddaughters, they would be doing it together.
She is also survived by her son, Terry Grisham of Blair, Nebraska; daughter, Julie Ayers and son-in-law Jeff of Boerne; grandchildren, Sam Grisham, Jessica Grisham, Morgan Grisham, Aisling Ayers, and Ava Ayers; great grandchild Emma Botts that she was so blessed to get to meet and love; sister, Louise Parkins, sister-in-law Pam Poole as well as many nieces, nephews and in laws.
Glena was born on March 3, 1941 in Houston, Texas and lived in the Houston and East Texas area up until 2001. She graduated from Jeff Davis High School in Houston and went to Southwestern Business College. She spent the last 17 years living in the beautiful Texas Hill Country that she loved where she was close to her youngest grandchildren Aisling and Ava.
She touched many lives and truly was an inspiration to so many around her. She left a legacy of love, family and strength that is now in each of us. She will be loved and missed always and forever.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home. In honor of Glena's love for happy colors, her granddaughters Aisling and Ava have requested that family and friends wear lighter colors to celebrate her life.
Glena's favorite colors were pink and yellow.
